How did it all start?
It started in January 2004. Julian Elwin, Manager met with the Nathanson “Mail Man” Samuel, Lead Keyboardist on a project. I had managed a group many years before called “Rainbow Rockers” and found out that its former Guitarist was involved in forming a group with Mail Man and that impressed me knowing the level of music performance of that individual.
That same day Mail Man and I crafted the name Natral Vybz International because of 2 main reasons:
- Members had natural music versatility at a professional or international level.
- All musical sound generated from performances had to be raw natural sounds.
Response from Dominicans?
Excellent. At first people did not believe that the band was originally born in Dominica due to the high quality of sound and performance and thought it was a band based overseas that visits Dominica from time to time. It also brought some confusion to the public between Caribbean Vibes and Natral Vybz International. Now everything is clear to the public and the Sun Newspaper December 21, 2009 Edition, has chosen Natral Vybz International as the Number One Reggae Band in Dominica.
Performance out of Dominica?
Most members have had various levels of international experience at the highest levels. (See Bio attached). We are currently working on networks in Martinique and Costa Rica.
Natral Vybz International in the Future?
Our new album “Next Level” is in studio with an expected hit release “Real Man”. The new album is expected to be even bigger and better just as the Band is expected to be in the future!!
