In 2007, a unique musical band, Fanatik, was formed under the direction of Cornell “Fingers” Phillip. Unique, in that the band is, to all intents and purposes, a concert band, presenting a varied musical repertoire including Caribbean popular forms as well as R&B, Jazz, Rock, Country and Pop. Simply put, Fanatik can and has put together an astounding repertoire that suite any event, from any nationality, any genre of music. From its inaugural performance on 19th December 2007 at a Fund Raising Dinner, they set the pace of being a dynamic band which captivates audiences with their energy, theatrics and professionalism.
Because of its undoubted versatility and the high standard of its presentations the six member ensemble, one vocalist four instrumentalists and sound engineer, is regularly called upon to play at private gatherings, government and school functions as well as public shows, dances and carnival costume bands. Fanatik is fast becoming the band of choice to serve as accompanist at various local song contests.
